Gary Moore (Thin Lizzy) Red Miniature Guitar Replica
Gary Moore - Distressed 1961 Fiesta Red Miniature Guitar
Robert William Gary Moore was born in Belfast on April 6th 1952 and died suddenly in Spain on 6th Feb 2011. Even by his teenage years, in the 60s, the young Moore was making quite a name for himself with Belfast based Rock and Blues bands.
It was after his move to Dublin to join Phil Lynott's then band Skid Row, that his rise through the ranks of superstar guitar players really began. Moore would return to working with his good friend Phil Lynott at various times throughout their careers, playing with different line-ups of Thin Lizzy as well as contributing to each other's solo projects.
Gary Moore was associated with many brands of guitar over the course of his career, including of course his legendary ex-Peter Green Standard which now belongs to Kirk Hammett of Metallica. Another firm favourite of Moore's was his 1961 Fiesta Red which he purchased in 1981 after very nearly losing it to 'Prog God' Greg Lake. Fortunately for Moore, Greg Lake thought the guitar was a little too battered for his liking and passed on the sale.
