Dave Edmunds (born 1943) is a Welsh singer, guitarist and record producer celebrated as one of rock and roll's great revivalists. He first broke through in 1968 when his band Love Sculpture turned Khachaturian's 'Sabre Dance' into a blazing rock instrumental, then topped charts internationally in 1970 with his version of 'I Hear You Knocking'. Through his solo records, his partnership with Nick Lowe in Rockpile and his production work across the rockabilly revival, Edmunds has spent a career championing classic rock and roll. On stage he has been seen with a striking blonde hollow-body archtop electric guitar, its gold hardware and natural finish as bold as the music he plays.
